Chrysler Group LLC has decided to extend production of its current-generation Jeep Wrangler until mid-2018 from the current 2016 date. This could be inline with what the likes of Land Rover have done with the next generation of Defender.
“Chrysler is still having trouble launching new vehicles and wants to focus its investment and attention on getting right critical high-volume cars”
The wrangler has been selling relatively well with little marketing involved and they continue to grow with popularity. It is expected to have some significant refreshing between now and 2018 though.
