This new lighter version is packing a 296 hp (221kw) 4 cylinder with 380 Nm of torque, 70 kw more then the new GTi. This mighty engine gives the Golf R a 0-100 time of 4.9 seconds with the 6 speed DSG and a 5.1 second time with the optional manual gearbox.
