Top Gear have killed the Mazda Furai while driving it for their 20th anniversary magazine

SOMETIMES WE GOT IT WRONG

Forgive us, for we have sinned. Top Gear is responsible for the untimely demise of the quite remarkable Mazda Furai Concept, and we’re very, very sorry. Find out how (if that picture hasn’t clued you in…) in our bumper anniversary issue, and try not to hate us too much.

Top Gear

It started at a young age with bedroom posters, the Countach of course. This slowly grew into a super car die-cast model collection, fifty five 1:18 models at the last count. At which point it had almost taken full control, the incurable Mad Car Disease ran deep though my veins all the way to the bone. 1. So if I get this right, the car went on fire with a Mazda tech at the wheel and it happened sometime in 2008 so we’ve come to the end of some sort of 5 year confidentiality agreement and now they’re free to talk about it. Why keep it secret? Is it because it was such a hyped up car that it was too embarrassing for Mazda? It doesn’t make much sense to me…
