With Round 1 of the Honda Cup revving off to a fine start in Hampton Downs, I caught up with race car driver Oliver Heycoop about the highlights of his weekend.

Heycoop, is one of the youngest entrants at the age of 17, racing a 1994 EG Civic Hatch. Having learnt how to drive and race at an even younger age of 12, Heycoop is striving to be in the Top 10 Overall and Top 3 in Class for the whole season..

With the rain barely holding off on the first day, Heycoop fought his way in Race 1 to secure his position finishing 9th, which was a mere 0.007 seconds behind 8th place! Although slipping to 12th place in Race 2, he picked up 3rd in Class, a great achievement and great result for all the hard work.

With the ambition and technique, we have no doubt that we will hear and see more of Oliver Heycoop. The team at ACNZ will be following closely!

OCD Car Enthusiast Petrolhead is probably the way to describe my passion for cars. I often get carried away day dreaming and drooling over highly modded and stanced cars on a daily basis, but I'm an absolute sucker for high-performance european cars. Modding and tuning have been my environment when I was growing up, since then my attention has been caught up with car cleaning and grooming products.
