2015 Audi R8 – Making way for a V8 TwinTurbo?

Hot off the press the aesthetics of the new 2015 R8 hasn’t changed a lot, but the major evolution of the new 2015 R8 is that it will share the same underpinnings of the new Lamborghini Huracan (Replacement for the Lamborghini Gallardo). The new 2015 R8 will still predominately be Aluminium, but with the firewall, transmission tunnel and B-pillars will be made out of carbonfibre, the new carbon upgrades allows for the new 2015 R8 to be 100kg’s lighter than it’s predecessor.

A rethink of aero-dynamic improvements for the new 2015 r8, like the very noticeable large rear diffuser!! and pop up rear spoiler. They’ve also stepped away from the oval/circular style exhausts and opted for a rectangular style finish.

Powering the new 2015 R8, at the entry level a: 4.2-litre V8 with a supposed output of 450hp. The 5.2-litre V10 is also available with a supposed output of 550hp. Rumours have it that the 5.2-litre V10 maybe replaced with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, with an estimated 600+hp, easily out classing a Ferrari 458 Speciale, which I can only assume or imagine, that it will make a very very fast, well balanced, ruthless R8. Looking forward to more of the new R8’s engine rumours!

Stay tuned!
