The GTR has been crowned the Super Car killer, if it’s not fast enough already, apparently the new GTR will be even faster!
According to sources, the allegedly leaked new Nissan Skyline GTR R36 is to retain its 3.8-Litre Twin-Turbo V6 but to follow in the footsteps of the Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 with a Hybrid Power-plant! Sources states that the R36 VR38DETT engine will be developing 580hp plus a regenerative hybrid system employing KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) style technology for an extra 250hp. Ultimately pushing the new R36 GTR to over 800hp, 0-100km in 2.7 second and low 10 second 1/4 mile. Estimated to be priced between $120,000 USD – $150,000 USD
Apparently due for release in 2016, but no announcement has been made by Nissan to date.
