If you have ever said “I wish I bought one of those E-Types new when I had the could”, you might just be in with a second chance, as Jagaur are building six ‘brand new’ Lightweight E-Types.
Whats really cool about these six car is that they will be continuing the undesignated chassis numbers from the original run of 18 Lightweight E-Types which only ever made it to 12.
The E-Type Lightweight weighs 114kg less than the normal model due to its aluminium shell, stripped interior and exterior chrome trim, and aluminium 3.8-litre straight-six.
No word on price, but these hand-built cars wont be cheap and even if you have the cash, you cant be sure to get one as Jaguar will prioritise established Jaguar collectors first.
