The Mille Miglia is the infamous 1,000 mile classic car race though Italy. This race could very easily have links to the start of illegal street racing, and Jay Leno and Ian Callum do it in style in a 1951 Jaguar XK120. But style is only part of it, even though this is not an official race its still a test of skill and endurance as you drive the length and breath of Italy in 4 days. Which is nothing compared to the race record, which is 1000 mile in one day set by Sir Sterling Moss with an average speed of 100mph.
