Hennessey Performance have a successor to its already mental Venom GT. So what do you do when you already have a mind boggling US supercar, add more power of course. They say that the Venom F5 will have 1400bhp which they hope will blow the Venom GT’s speed records out of the water.

Hennessey have said that they have increased the size of the V8 engine’s twin turbochargers on the same block thats used in the GT. The surrounding bits and pieces, fuel system and inter coolers etc…  have been upgraded to handle the extra stress. But power wont get you all the way, the F5 needs to be able to fight the laws of physics and they aim to do that by reducing the drag coefficient to below 0.40, while retaining a massive amount of download

The final part of the puzzle is weight and Hennessey F5 is going to be around 1300kg, which sadly is a minor increase over the GT’s weight of 1244kg. The Venom F5 is due to be offically unveiled in 2015, with the planned 30 cars to be delivered in 2016. And if you want one, you can expect to pay more that the Venom GT’s $1.2m price tag.

It started at a young age with bedroom posters, the Countach of course. This slowly grew into a super car die-cast model collection, fifty five 1:18 models at the last count. At which point it had almost taken full control, the incurable Mad Car Disease ran deep though my veins all the way to the bone. And things for my loved ones just got worse as the cars where now being bought at 1:1 scale, after a BMW, HSV, and couple of Audi's, the disease reached my brain, pushing me over the edge and down the rabbits hole into the world of the bedroom poster.
