If there is a chance of a scam you can be sure that someone out there will be trying it. When your tyres wear down and you go to get new ones you could be caught by a scam while trying to get some cheap new tyres. Don’t be mistaken this is not a great way to save some money and get more out of your tyres, this is dangerous to do. Doing this just makes the walls of the tyre thinner which leaves it at a higher risk of exploding under pressure and more susceptible to punctures. So needless to say, do not try this at home.
