The all-new five-door Suzuki Vitara will break cover at the annual four day agricultural Fieldays event in the Waikato from June 10.

A specially imported example of the new generation Vitara is the star attraction on the Suzuki stand, at the Mystery Creek event in Hamilton

Because this early example is not identical to the New Zealand specification model, the show vehicle will appear with blacked-out windows. It will also feature an accessory kit and boast larger wheels and tyres.

The new Vitara will be available with standard two-wheel-drive or an optional Allgrip four-wheel-drive system that has particular appeal to the farming community.

Not only does the car emit remarkably low CO2 emissions for a four-wheel-drive vehicle it is also one of the most fuel efficient all-wheel-drive vehicles.

Suzuki expects the latest Vitara, which is built in Hungary, to become its best selling passenger car in Europe.

A smart body style, roomy interior, good fuel economy and high level of customisation are key reasons why the new Vitara is predicted to attract rising international demand.

We hope to get one of these to review when it lands in New Zealand later this year. I think it looks pretty good and is definitely a step forward looks-wise from the previous model. Even that rather bold colour suits it!

I love everything about cars! Driving, looking at them, modifying. It's great to see what people do with cars, the different car cultures. If I was rich, my garage would be bigger than my house!
