You may have seen in my initial article, that I am currently halfway through writing a book on buying a car in the USA, driving it on a road trip, and then shipping it home and getting it on the road.
The actual Road Trip is coming up in July this year. However I’m stuck on a title – I don’t have one. I’ve thrown many around, but just can’t quite get it punchy enough.
The cover of the book will likely show something like Route 66 (as it’s instantly recognisable) and a car driving away into the distance, like a classic Caddy, or Mustang etc, similar to the one below. My cover designer is ready to go with some other photos, but she needs a title!
I need the title to convey as much as I can, in not too many words.
As a background, this book will cover picking a car, researching it/prices, how to get your money to the US to pay for it, how to insure and register it, what documents you absolutely need to have to get it shipped home, general US travel tips, and a whole lot more. I will also cover buying an RV over there and shipping that back, although that doesn’t need to be in the title, it can be in the tagline.
An example of what I have at the moment is: “Buy It, Drive It, Ship It” with a tagline of “A Kiwi’s guide to buying a car or RV in the US and shipping it home.”
So, I’m asking help from our Drive Life readers: any suggestions?
It’s not a competition, so no guaranteed ‘winner’ but if I pick your suggestion I’ll give you credit for it in the book and I’ll even send you a signed copy, after publication about October this year.
