Legendary sports car maker Maserati has provided thrills on the race track for more than 100 years, it has built road cars with unrivalled passion and, most recently with the soon to arrive in Australia and New Zealand Maserati Levante, headed off road, but now, for the first time, it is possible to sleep in a Maserati in the luxury of a king size bed!

Sixty years after Sir Stirling Moss swept to victory past the Hôtel de Paris in his Maserati 250F to victory in the 1956 Monaco Grand Prix, a Maserati win repeated the following year Juan Manuel Fangio, the Hôtel de Paris has launched a partnership with Maserati to produce a unique hotel suite. The Maserati suite is unmistakably designed with the passion Maserati puts into all its cars combined with luxury for which the Hôtel de Paris is world renowned.

Available for a limited time, from 1 July to 30 September this year, the Maserati Suite has been created by L + R Palomba (Ludovica and Roberto Palomba), rising stars in the world of Italian interior design, the suite transcends style with pure, elegant grey tones and precious materials; it is obvious no expense or effort has been spared in creating this dream décor which captures the pure essence of Maserati.

Located on the third floor of the prestigious, luxury hotel in Monaco, the Maserati Suite offers an exceptional view of the sea and of the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo. In decorating such an idyllic location, the young designers’ immense talent and imagination had no limits. In the understated yet elegant living room, the designers created a central pillar – from which the surrounding spaces branch out – highlighting a resolutely modern lifestyle. “Absolute minimalism” is the keyword here, where exquisite lines, Maserati’s timeless elegance, and the Hôtel de Paris’s excellent services converge.

The bedroom reflects the style of Modena’s automotive brand. An impressive refined fabric headboard by Ermenegildo Zegna, the company that produces the silk interiors for Maserati, embellishes the wall, while the grain leather armchairs resemble the interior of Maserati’s sumptuous saloons.

The Maserati Suite package includes:

  • Maserati transfers to/from Nice airport
  • Breakfast
  • A cocktail buffet of dishes from Modena, Maserati’s home, with Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé champagne
  • Guests staying for three nights or more can enjoy a free cryotherapy session at the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo
  • A Maserati GranCabrio, the Trident Marque’s four-seater convertible, is at the guests’ disposal to drive during their entire stay* (*50km around Monte-Carlo)

It started at a young age with bedroom posters, the Countach of course. This slowly grew into a super car die-cast model collection, fifty five 1:18 models at the last count. At which point it had almost taken full control, the incurable Mad Car Disease ran deep though my veins all the way to the bone. And things for my loved ones just got worse as the cars where now being bought at 1:1 scale, after a BMW, HSV, and couple of Audi's, the disease reached my brain, pushing me over the edge and down the rabbits hole into the world of the bedroom poster.
