Car mad Manuel Nascimento has built this incredible LEGO Technic Porsche 919 after he got to experience the real-life car win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015. It seems like he could not live without it, and recreate it from LEGO. A lot of hard work has gone into this model, from the development of working out the shapes, the custom livery and the various working functions, which include, doors, bonnet and engine bay hatches and even headlight. Great job Manuel.

It started at a young age with bedroom posters, the Countach of course. This slowly grew into a super car die-cast model collection, fifty five 1:18 models at the last count. At which point it had almost taken full control, the incurable Mad Car Disease ran deep though my veins all the way to the bone. And things for my loved ones just got worse as the cars where now being bought at 1:1 scale, after a BMW, HSV, and couple of Audi's, the disease reached my brain, pushing me over the edge and down the rabbits hole into the world of the bedroom poster.

  1. That’s amazing, I am very jealous.
I go every year to Le Mans and love collecting model cars that I’ve seen race. I have the Audi R18 scalextric car, the Lego technics 911 RSR and the Ferrari 388 GTE to be wall mounted. The only LMP style car I can find in Lego is a generic kit which doesn’t get me excited but this is another level. If Lego pick this up I’m defo on the list to by one.
    Crackin’ work fella.
