2021 VW Tiguan set to arrive in March

Kiwi drivers will get to enjoy Volkswagen’s most popular selling SUV sooner than many other markets, with the new Tiguan facelift expected to land here in March (2WD only, 4WD to arrive in April).

The Tiguan is not only Volkswagen’s best-selling model, but its drivers are the brand’s most loyal customers too. General Manager of Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, Greg Leet, says that securing this SUV’s early arrival is a great win for both its customers and dealerships.

“It’s been a tough end to an unpredictable year with huge stock limitations across the entire automotive industry. To be able to deliver the new Tiguan early next year will not only be a relief to our dealer network but also an exciting opportunity for our Kiwi customers.

The Tiguan has always been a best-seller and we’re confident this facelift will attract even more interest with its sharper exterior design and host of new technological innovations.”
Indeed, Volkswagen is opening the next chapter of Tiguan’s success story with a comprehensive technical and visual offering.

The new Tiguan’s physical changes are headlined by a bigger front grille shrouded by slimmer LED headlights and an updated bumper. While at the rear resides new taillights, a new rear bumper and the letters ‘TIGUAN’ emblazoned on the mid-size SUV’s tailgate.
With intelligent technology and an impressive level of personalisation, like a new climatronic display, the driver gets to set the tone. Not to mention having 30 colours of interior ambient lighting at their finger-tips (standard in Style & R-Line variants).

And then to add to an already full suite of driver assistance safety systems, it introduces the new Travel Assist. At the push of a button, it provides driving comfort of the highest quality – supporting the driver in monotonous or tiring driving situations. Alongside the intuitive driver-oriented cockpit controls, it allows the driver to concentrate completely on the essentials, says Volkswagen.

Extra technology also comes in the form of a new MIB-3 infotainment system. Paired with the brilliant Discover Media and Discover Pro systems, it features Wireless App-Connect (Wireless Android Auto & Wireless Apple CarPlay) allowing you to seamlessly connect compatible apps from your smartphone.
