The 2021 Renault KOLEOS is available now in Renault dealerships nationwide, starting from $40,990+ ORC, with a 3-year unlimited warranty with 30,000Km/12 month service intervals.
Entry into the KOLEOS range starts with the 2WD Zen model and for those who are after a few more comforts and AWD, the KOLEOS Intens offers a power operated tail gate, panoramic sunroof, power and ventilated front seats, 8.7 inch multimedia touch screen with BOSE audio, Nappa leather interior, and 19” alloy wheels.
For those seeking a ‘sportier’ look, the KOLEOS Sport has a touch more edge than your standard KOLEOS SUV with running boards, 22” Renault wheels and tires, front and rear body kit, Sport badge and blacked out logo.
KOLEOS is an SUV which boasts raised ground clearance, skid plates high on the bumper and 18-inch wheel rims. It has signature lighting with front and rear lights using 100% LED technology on all variants. The LED front lights provide 25% better lighting performance than halogen technology, while reducing energy consumption by 10%. At the rear, the 3D LED taillights incorporate dynamic turn indicators (Intens model only).
Inside, there are satin chrome inserts on the steering wheel, gear lever and air vents, as well as foamed materials on the dashboard and door trims. The KOLEOS has more rear passenger leg room than before, and yet there’s still 458 litres of luggage space.
Mated to the 2.5-litre engine, Renault says the X-Tronic automatic transmission offers fluid, responsive driving without interruption of torque. X-Tronic adjusts continuously while maintaining optimal engine speed and can also simulate gear shifts, producing even more powerful acceleration they claim. A wider gear ratio delivers better fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions, quieter driving at low speeds and stronger acceleration at high revolutions.
Renault claims the KOLEOS’s All Mode 4×4-i system increases off-road capabilities as well as improves roadholding to offer greater stability and safety. In Auto mode, all the sensors constantly monitor acceleration, yaw motion and the steering angle. Torque distribution between the front and rear wheels is then adjusted to provide greater grip and prevent understeer or oversteer.
The KOLEOS offers 190 mm ground clearance, one of the highest of its category, and its short overhangs provide front/rear approach and departure angles of 18° and 25° respectively.
New technologies give the Koleos increased on-board safety, connectivity and well-being. Driving data (speed, RPM, fuel consumption and more) is displayed on a personable 7-inch colour screen situated behind the steering wheel, in the driver’s line of sight.
Central to KOLEOS technology is a 8.7-inch portrait touchscreen (Intens model only) and 7-inch landscape on the Zen.
The KOLEOS features a suite of driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Automatic High/Low Beam Headlights (AHL), 360° park assist and Easy Park Assist (EPA).
The parking assistance system measures the parking space with its sensors (whether parallel, perpendicular or angled) and defines the parking trajectory. Then it takes over the wheel and steers itself while the driver controls the speed and braking. It can also help to exit parallel parking spots (Intens model only).
In terms of colours and materials, KOLEOS has a new Highland Silver exterior colour and a new leather interior. Previous colours carried over are Solid White, Metallic Black, Metallic Grey and Meissen Blue.
