Racing-inspired Jaguar F-TYPE ZP EDITION created by SV Bespoke

Jaguar is commemorating the final production of F-TYPE vehicles with an exclusive limited-edition F-TYPE inspired by two iconic 1960s racing E-TYPE vehicles. To celebrate the power and performance of Jaguar, 150 examples of the F-TYPE ZP EDITION will be produced.

New Zealand has only six remaining F-TYPE vehicles remaining and one ZP EDITION in the Crystal Grey Coupe curation that has just arrived in the country. These 575HP supercharged petrol V8 F-TYPE vehicles feature specially curated interior and exterior details by the personalisation experts at SV Bespoke.

Steve Kenchington, CEO, Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand, said:“The F-TYPE ZP EDITION is a model that not only celebrates Jaguar’s racing heritage but also exemplifies the brand’s commitment to design excellence and engineering innovation.”

“Jaguar’s journey into the electric future marks a bold evolution, one that resonates deeply with its rich heritage of combustion-powered sports cars. It’s not just a transformation; it’s a celebration of where we’ve been and where we’re heading.”

Two F-TYPE ZP EDITION colourways will be produced globally, recalling the first race-winning ‘Project ZP’ E-TYPE vehicles campaigned shortly after the model’s launch in 1961: Oulton Blue Gloss paint with Mars Red and Ebony duotone leather interior, and Crystal Grey Gloss paint with Navy Blue and Ebony duotone leather interior.

Both feature Porcelain White Gloss hand-painted racing-style roundels on the doors and Porcelain White Gloss grille surrounds.

Jaguar says this exterior paint colour has never been offered on F-TYPE before. The colour offering matches the two specially formulated paints created for seven pairs of E-TYPE Project ZP Collection cars announced by Jaguar Classic last year: https://media.jaguar.com/news/2023/06/jaguar-classic-unveils-tributefirst-e-type-race-wins-e-type-zp-collection.

Unique interiors with horizontal seat fluting, plus Gloss Black exterior accents and Gloss Black brake calipers, complement exclusive F-TYPE ZP EDITION branding details on the fenders, Gloss Black Diamond Turned 20-inch forged alloy wheels, tread plates and dashboard. Each car features a ‘One of 150’ SV Bespoke commissioning plaque.

Ever since earning accolades including 2013 World Car Design of the Year, Jaguar claims the F-TYPE has continued to set the benchmark for truly involving, engaging, driver-focused sports cars, with a distinctive V8 soundtrack. The exhaust note is so iconic it is archived in institutions including the British Library.

With 575HP, 700Nm of torque and an all-wheel drive system with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) technology, performance is exceptional on various surfaces and weather: 0-100km/h takes around 3.7 seconds.

The starting price for the F-TYPE P450 R75 RWD in New Zealand is $193,000, currently, there are only six F-TYPE vehicles in the country. Additionally, the exclusive Crystal Grey Coupe ZP EDITION is available starting at $300,000.

How on earth to start this? I've been car/bike/truck crazy since I was a teen. Like John, I had the obligatory Countach poster on the wall. I guess I'm more officially into classic and muscle cars than anything else - I currently have a '65 Sunbeam Tiger that left the factory the same day as I left the hospital as a newborn with my mother. How could I not buy that car? In 2016 my wife and I drove across the USA in a brand-new Dodge Challenger, and then shipped it home. We did this again in 2019 in a 1990 Chev Corvette - you can read about that trip on DriveLife, and again in 2023 buying a C5 Corvette and shipping it home. I'm a driving instructor and an Observer for the Institute of Advanced Motorists - trying to do my bit to make our roads safer.
