The second generation of the Škoda Kodiaq RS now boasts a  more powerful 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, delivering 195 kW and 400 Nm of torque. With its glossy black exterior details extending all the way to the D-pillar, specific bumpers and the front grille’s horizontal light strip, the sportiest Kodiaq version is instantly recognisable as a member of the Škoda RS family. The extensive standard equipment includes LED Matrix beam headlights, progressive steering, DCC Plus and a Canton sound system.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: More horsepower and torque

The most dynamic model of Škoda’s big SUV is available in a 7-seater format. Power comes courtesy of the new 2.0 TSI petrol engine with 195 kW, which is combined with a 7-speed DSG transmission, and all-wheel drive. The ECU (engine control unit) is specifically adapted to the car’s characteristics, dimensions and the 4×4 drive. This enables a peak torque of 400 Nm. The Kodiaq RS also comes with Dynamic Sound Boost, ensuring an emotive engine sound, claims Skoda.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: Advanced 4×4 drive

All-wheel drive is delivered by an electro-hydraulically controlled inter-axle multi-plate clutch, supported by various sensors that continuously evaluate the driving situation. The control unit calculates and applies the optimal power distribution, allowing up to 100% of torque to be redirected to the rear axle, and up to 85% to a single wheel (in conjunction with Electronic Differential Lock). The all-wheel-drive setup also increases towing capacity, enabling the Škoda Kodiaq RS to pull a braked trailer weighing up to 2,500 kg.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: Specific chassis and progressive steering

The Kodiaq RS has a MacPherson strut suspension with lower triangular links and torsion stabiliser up front, and a multi-link suspension with torsion stabiliser on the rear axle. It consists of one longitudinal and three transverse arms, i.e. four elements. The specific functions of these elements for the transfer of force in the transverse and longitudinal directions are the basis for their individual design, ensuring optimal axle kinematics. The result is excellent handling characteristics and great driving comfort. The Kodiaq RS also comes with progressive steering as standard. Skoda says this contributes to improved steering dynamics and low-speed manoeuvrability by reducing the number of lock-to-lock steering wheel revolutions.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: Powerful braking system with red calipers

The front and rear brake discs with red-painted calipers are ventilated and sized to match the performance of the car. The 5-seater comes with disc brakes measuring 340×340 millimetres on the front axle. The 7-seater’s front axle has disc brakes measuring 335×30 millimetres with double piston calipers. The rear axles on both variants are fitted with disc brakes measuring 310×22 mm with one-piston calipers.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: Black exterior accents, sporty bumpers, front grille with horizontal light strip

Black exterior accents are a hallmark of Škoda RS models. Accordingly, the second generation Kodiaq RS comes with a glossy black finish for its grille frame, exterior mirror covers, the upper parts of the window frames, the roof rails and the D-pillar. The Kodiaq RS also has a distinct front bumper with various parts finished in black.

Another exclusive exterior highlight is the front grille featuring a horizontal light strip. As in all Škoda RS models, the rear has a reflector spanning the entire width of the vehicle. The Škoda lettering and model designation on the tailgate also come in black, while the rear bumper and side sills are painted in body colour. Polished stainless[1]steel exhaust tips are visible under the rear bumper. The redesigned RS logo adorns the tailgate and the Škoda grille. The standard 20-inch Elias alloy wheels have a polished black finish and are exclusive to the RS.

The Kodiaq RS is available with a choice of eight exterior finishes: one solid colour and a total of seven metallic paint finishes, including Bronx Gold Metallic.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: LED Matrix beam headlights and new DCC Plus as standard

The comprehensive standard equipment includes LED Matrix beam headlights with animated welcome effect and cornering function as well as LED rear lights with animated indicators, linked by a red decorative strip. The KESSY Advanced system, featuring Open On Approach and Walk Away Locking, also comes as standard, as does the improved, latest-generation DCC Plus Dynamic Chassis Control. The DCC Plus offers 15 settings ranging from comfortable to sporty and continuously adjusts the dampers. It uses shock absorbers with two independent valves so that compression damping control and rebound damping control can be separated.

Previously, a single valve was used for both functions. This new solution provides faster shock absorber response and extends the range of damping characteristics, for further improved driving performance and comfort. Driving Mode Select is also included as standard. It allows drivers to choose between Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual and Snow modes, each with corresponding electronic damper adjustment, and offers an Off-Road mode as well.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq RS: Sporty interior and acoustic side windows as standard

The Kodiaq RS has a long wheelbase measuring 2,791 mm. It makes for a spacious interior for the top of the range – RS Suite Design Selection. The RS Suite Design features sports seats with integrated headrests and black perforated leather/artificial leather with red contrast stitching. The design part of the dashboard, the door inserts and the centre armrest are covered in black artificial leather. The Kodiaq RS comes with a 3-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel with red stitching and an RS badge.

The laminated glass of the acoustic side windows at the front ensures even better sound insulation. The Kodiaq RS complements its 10-inch Virtual Cockpit with a free-standing 13-inch infotainment screen, displaying an RS welcome logo. For an improved sound experience in the car, the Canton sound system comes as standard in the RS.
