Mercedes-Benz New Zealand is extending the GT Coupé portfolio with the introduction of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+. The company says this new model is designed for enthusiasts seeking ultimate capability on road and circuit.

At the top of the range, the AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ builds on the performance of the AMG GT 63. Its 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine has been tuned to deliver up to 450 kW and 850 Nm – 20 kW and 50 Nm more than the GT 63. Acceleration from 0–200 km/h on the racetrack takes just 10.9 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the AMG GT 63), with a top speed of 317 km/h.

The GT 63 PRO sharpens responsiveness via advanced systems including ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with active roll stabilisation, standard rear-axle steering, active aerodynamics, and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive to enhance handling and performance.

The enhancements are supported by reinforced high- and low-temperature cooling circuits, additional radiators in the wheel arches, and active cooling of the all-wheel-drive transfer case and differentials. These measures ensure consistent performance, even under heavy circuit use.

“The new AMG GT 63 PRO is the sportiest model in our AMG GT family. If you’re looking to not only enjoy your AMG GT on the road but also tackle some fast laps on the racetrack, the GT 63 PRO is the ideal choice. We have boosted the engine’s performance and enhanced aerodynamics with elements such as the new front apron and additional air deflectors on the underbody. Additional radiators in the wheel arches and electric water pumps in the top-mounted radiators ensure stability even under intense use. At the same time, the GT PRO offers a high degree of everyday usability. This blend of performance and practicality makes it a perfect addition to our AMG GT family, which has something to offer for every sports car enthusiast.”

2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO: Features and design

The PRO model incorporates aerodynamic refinements, including a new front apron with carbon fibre air deflectors, an underbody profile, and a fixed rear wing. These changes reduce aerodynamic lift on the front axle by over 30 kilograms and enhance stability and precise steering behaviour at speed. The vehicle rides on lightweight AMG Performance 21-inch forged wheels in cross-spoke design in Himalaya Grey matte finish and features AMG’s ceramic composite braking system with six-piston front callipers, equipped with 420-millimetre brake discs on the front axle.

The GT 63 PRO also has additional air deflectors on the underbody – similar to those on the Mercedes-AMG ONE. These fins, which are located at the height of the front and rear axles, accelerate the airflow on the underbody. All measures are coordinated and interact with the rear wing concept, which increases downforce on the rear axle by around 15 kilograms.

Inside, the PRO specification includes AMG Performance seats, an AMG Performance steering wheel finished in Nappa leather and MICROCUT microfibre, and an AMG Carbon Fibre package as standard, with front splitter, trim strips in the side sills, diffuser and rear wing in high-quality carbon fibre. Together, these features emphasise its motorsport-inspired character. Further standard appointments include climatised front seats, head-up display, DIGITAL LIGHT headlights, the Driving Assistance Package Plus and the Burmester® surround sound system, which can be upgraded to the Burmester® high-end 3D surround sound system with 15 speakers and 1,170 watts of system power at cost.

The GT 63 PRO can be further personalised with the AMG Night Package, which adds a black chrome finish to exterior elements such as the radiator shell, the Mercedes star at the rear and tailpipe trims. Inside, the interior trims are darkened with MANUFAKTUR trim elements in black chrome. The package includes GT-specific 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels painted in matte black.

The optional AMG Carbon Fibre Package complements the standard carbon fibre treatments on the outside and in the cabin, including the centre console, doors, and steering wheel. The AMG Carbon Fibre Package can be selected together with the AMG Night Package.
