The TORRES Hybrid is officially arriving on our shores, in two variants, towards the end of 2025.
Following on from a concept vehicle’s reveal at the recent Hamilton-based Fieldays, KGM says the overwhelmingly positive response to the KGM TORRES Hybrid has cemented it as a must-have model in the South Korean born, future bound brand’s lineup.
The company says the TORRES Hybrid blends impressive fuel efficiency with head turning style. “Its bold design commands attention while providing a spacious and practical interior that’s perfect for families and active lifestyles.”
KGM TORRES Hybrid and TORRES Hybrid Ultimate are both backed by a 5-year/100,000km warranty (whichever comes first). Powered by KGM’s Dual-Tech Hybrid System, it is self-charging, and the company says it will seamlessly switch between petrol and electric for optimal fuel savings.
TORRES Hybrid will offer three drive modes, regenerative braking and a Blade battery system. Kym Mellow, General Manager of Inchcape New Zealand, the distributor of KGM says: “The launch of the TORRES Hybrid represents a pivotal step in KGM’s journey towards a New Energy Vehicle (NEV) future, introducing a strong hybrid that combines rugged SUV styling with advanced self-charging technology. By delivering everyday electric driving without the plug-in compromise, the Hybrid bridges the gap between traditional petrol SUVs and full EVs — offering customers an attainable, stylish, and practical path into electrified mobility. Full specification details and pricing will be announced at the KGM TORRES Hybrid’s launch at a later date,” Mellow concludes.
Currently KGM offers a TORRES petrol variant in New Zealand.
