BYD Auto NZ says it is excited to reveal the pricing and specification of the all-new ATTO 1 and ATTO 2 EV models and the PHEV SEALION 5.

BYD ATTO 1 – Priced from $29,990+orc.
The company says the ATTO 1 is a high-tech, all-electric vehicle and is designed for complete urban living, offering a 220km WLTP range, perfect for the daily commute and round-town errands. Known as the BYD Seagull and the BYD Dolphin Surf in overseas markets, the BYD ATTO 1 is a fan favourite becoming BYD’s most popular selling model globally, with over 1 million units produced. It has also been named one of Time’s Best Inventions of 2025.

It is claimed the ATTO 2 is an innovative all-electric compact SUV that redefines the driving experience through its exceptional combination of style, practicality, and technology. With enhanced driving range and efficiency for the eco-conscious consumer, it offers impressive boot and cabin space as a daily driver for families.

The SEALION 5 plug-in Super Hybrid is the mid-size SUV designed to meet the needs of families and adventure enthusiasts alike, offering exceptional efficiency, performance and technology, says BYD.

With these three new models arriving imminently, also on the horizon is the all-new BYD SEALION 8, the full-size seven-seat PHEV SUV, which will be a flagship model for the brand in New Zealand.
Full pricing and specs for the BYD SEALION 8 will be announced next month, with stock arrivals in Q1 of 2026.
