Honda New Zealand has announced that the newly revealed Honda Super-ONE, a small electric vehicle developed from the Honda Super EV Concept, will launch locally in the second half of 2026.
Marrying Honda’s signature fun-to-drive philosophy with the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation, Honda says the Super-ONE represents the next step in Honda’s electrification journey – bringing a new level of practical, playful and premium urban mobility to New Zealand, they claim.
Honda New Zealand Managing Director Carolyn McMahon said the Honda Supr-ONE will appeal strongly to Kiwis looking for a compact, sustainable, and spirited way to move through the city.
“The Honda Super-ONE is an exciting addition to our line-up and perfectly suited to New Zealand’s urban lifestyle,” said Ms McMahon.
“It embodies Honda’s philosophy of creating mobility that’s not just practical but genuinely enjoyable – an agile, quiet, and confidence-inspiring EV that makes every drive around town a pleasure.”
Measuring under 3.6 metres long and 1.6 metres wide, the Honda Super-ONE has been engineered for tight city streets and compact parking spaces, while offering a surprisingly spacious and refined interior, says the company. Its lightweight structure, direct handling, and quiet electric powertrain should make it a natural fit for Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch’s busy city centres, says Honda.
Honda Super-ONE development included extensive testing across Japan’s urban environments and on open roads, ensuring its ride comfort, safety systems, and charging capabilities meet Honda’s global standards.
“As we prepare for the next phase of electrification in New Zealand, the Super-ONE represents how Honda continues to combine intelligent design, advanced technology, and the joy of driving,” Ms McMahon added.
The Honda Super-ONE was officially unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, alongside the stunning Honda 0 Series Saloon and 0 Series SUV. It will join Honda New Zealand’s growing electrified line-up in 2026, following the introductions of the all-new Prelude and updated e:HEV hybrid ranges of CR-V and ZR-V.
