The EX90 is Volvo’s first fully software-defined vehicle, built on a next-generation core computing platform and software stack developed in-house by Volvo engineers. The system also includes Abbey Road Studios Mode, allowing occupants to experience sound profiles inspired by the legendary London recording studio.

Safety remains at the heart of the EX90. In ANCAP’s 2025 safety assessments, the Volvo EX90 was recognised as the top-performing Large SUV, reflecting its strong performance across adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, vulnerable road user protection and safety assist technologies. Using a network of cameras, radars and advanced sensors connected to high-performance computing, the vehicle creates a real-time 360-degree understanding of its surroundings.
