Volvo Cars New Zealand has confirmed variants and pricing for the all-new mid-sized SUV – the EX6
- Pricing and variants announced today, starting from $116,990* for the Ultra P6 RWD and $125,990* for the Ultra P10 AWD

Volvo Cars New Zealand has confirmed the pricing and variants of the all-new Volvo EX60, a fully electric premium mid-size SUV that delivers the longest driving range of any Volvo ever produced.
Offering up to 660 kilometres of driving range in the all-wheel-drive Ultra P10 configuration, and 611 kilometres in the rear-wheel-drive Ultra P6, the company says the EX60 sets a new benchmark for Volvo’s electric lineup and arrives in New Zealand’s fastest-growing premium SUV segment.
The top-spec version P12 Performance with the flagship 810km range will be available in New Zealand in the second half of 2027.
Volvo Cars New Zealand Brand Manager, Daile Stephens, says the EX60 gives Kiwi motorists the confidence to travel further between charges.
“The EX60 delivers on the true meaning of ‘Freedom to move’ for a fully electric era. It overcomes the three main reasons people hesitate to go all electric, range, charging speed and price. EX60 matches the range of a petrol car, charges as fast as your average fuel stop and has price parity with the XC60 Plug-in-Hybrid. With EX60 we are redefining what it is to have an electric car, it is a car that takes you all the way on your adventure, and back, without the need to worry.”
Stephens continues, “Range has always been the question we get asked first. With up to 660 kilometres on a single charge and the ability to add 315 kilometres in just 10 minutes on a fast charger, the EX60 removes the last real hesitation for Kiwi drivers considering the switch to full electric.”
The EX60 is the first car to be built on Volvo Cars’ new SPA3 electric vehicle architecture and is the first Volvo to combine cell-to-body battery technology, an advanced 800-volt electrical system and mega-casting manufacturing technology. Together, these innovations improve efficiency, reduce weight and enable both longer driving range and faster charging performance, claims Volvo.
The vehicle has also been designed to continuously improve over time through Volvo Cars’ core computing architecture and over-the-air software updates.
In addition to its range and charging capabilities, the EX60 introduces Volvo’s latest safety technologies and next-generation user experience, including Google built-in services. The EX60 is the first car to launch with Google Gemini-powered conversational AI functionality which allows you to talk to the car in natural ways to help simplify your life.
The EX60 has been engineered with sustainability in mind with upholstery options including bio-attributed Nordico, chrome-free Nappa Leather certified by the Leather Working Group, and a Tailored Wool Blend made from 30% wool and 70% recycled polyester.
Dane Fisher, Group General Manager of NordEast Vehicle Distributors (the Giltrap Group division that distributes Volvo in New Zealand) says the EX60 delivers on NordEast’s founding ambition.

2026 Volvo EX60: New Zealand availability
The Volvo EX60 will be available in New Zealand from November 2026, with pre-orders open now.
Pricing will start from $116,990* for the Ultra P6 RWD, and $125,990* for the Ultra P10 AWD.
The EX60 is available at launch in Ultra specification only, with two drivetrain options:
- EX60 Ultra P6 RWD – 275kW / 480Nm, 611km WLTP range, 0–100km/h in 5.9 seconds, towing up to 2,000kg, from $116,990
- EX60 Ultra P10 AWD – 375kW / 710Nm, 660km WLTP range, 0–100km/h in 4.6 seconds, towing up to 2,400kg, from $125,990
