Suzuki New Zealand has announced the arrival of the new Jimny Horizon special edition, a local take on one of the world’s most recognisable compact 4WDs. Available in both 3-door and 5-door variants, Suzuki says the Jimny Horizon has been developed for Kiwi customers seeking a practical, capable and distinctly styled compact 4WD for outdoor exploration and everyday versatility.

The new special edition builds on Jimny’s reputation for ruggedness and off-road ability, while adding more than $4,000 worth of adventure-ready accessories and unique design elements.

“The Jimny Horizon has been created to reflect the enduring appeal of the Jimny nameplate while offering a distinctive special edition tailored to local demand” says Aaron Wales, Suzuki NZ’s National Sales Manager. “It captures everything drivers love about Jimny — proven 4WD capability, practical equipment and distinctive styling into one value-added package”, says Wales.

Externally, the Jimny Horizon features a package of genuine Suzuki accessories including an attachable Osagawa tent shade, roof platform and side door mouldings. A heritage-inspired grille and custom vinyl decals further distinguish the model, referencing Jimny’s long-standing off-road heritage while giving the special edition its own identity.

Suzuki’s proven ALLGRIP PRO 4WD system, low-range transfer gear, ladder-frame chassis and generous ground clearance remain central to the vehicle’s capability. These features enable the Jimny Horizon perform confidently across a wide range of terrain and conditions, and where compact dimensions and durable construction are a genuine advantage, claims Suzuki.

Standard features include a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smartphone-connected navigation, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, auto light-sensing headlamps, daytime running lamps, fog lamps and Guide Me Light functionality.

Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-stage automatic transmission, allowing them to select the configuration best suited to their driving preferences.

The Jimny Horizon 3-Door Sierra adds climate control air conditioning and headlamp washers. The Jimny Horizon 5-Door further extends practicality with four speakers, auto-levelling headlamps and 377 litres of luggage capacity with the rear seats folded.

Priced from $34,990 plus on road costs for the Jimny Horizon 3-Door and from $42,990 for the 5-Door, Suzuki says the availability of both body styles gives customers the flexibility to select a vehicle that aligns with their individual needs, whether prioritising affordability or increased passenger and cargo space.

All models are equipped with six airbags, Dual Sensor Brake Support, lane departure warning, weaving alert, cruise control, hill hold control, hill descent control and Brake LSD traction control.

Combined with the strength of its rigid ladder-frame construction and its generous approach and departure angles, these features are designed to provide added reassurance when driving in the variable road and surface conditions found around Aotearoa.

Wales says, “For customers looking to go further with confidence, the Jimny Horizon is a 4WD special edition designed to meet the moment and provide many memorable experiences.”

The Suzuki Jimny Horizon range is available to view and test drive at the 36 Suzuki dealers located nationwide.
