Cadillac has confirmed the LYRIQ-V for Australia and New Zealand, marking the first time the brand’s V-Series performance badge has been applied to an all-electric SUV.
The new model uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 459kW and 880Nm. With Velocity Max engaged, Cadillac says the LYRIQ-V will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds, based on GM testing in controlled conditions in the United States. Top speed is listed at 210km/h.

Greg Rowe, Acting Managing Director, GM Australia & New Zealand, said the LYRIQ-V was an important model for Cadillac locally.
“LYRIQ-V is a landmark vehicle for Cadillac in Australia and New Zealand: it brings the V-Series badge into the electric era for the first time, and delivers the immediacy, precision and drama our customers expect from a performance Cadillac,” said Rowe.
“At 459kW, 880Nm and 3.6 seconds from 0-100km/h, it is a genuine performance SUV, but it also retains the refinement, technology and everyday usability that define the LYRIQ experience.”
Performance and drive modes
The LYRIQ-V includes Cadillac’s V-Mode, accessed via a button on the steering wheel. It also offers Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, My Mode and V-Mode drive settings.

Within V-Mode, drivers can access Velocity Max, Competitive Mode and Launch Control. Velocity Max provides an on-demand increase in power, Launch Control manages torque delivery for acceleration from a standstill, and Competitive Mode changes the traction-management settings for a more performance-focused drive.
Hardware changes include a lowered sport suspension with Continuous Damping Control adaptive dampers, continuously variable electric power steering, red Brembo performance front brakes with 390mm rotors, and 22-inch alloy wheels fitted with self-sealing 275/40 R22 tyres.

Electric sound system
Cadillac has also developed a specific sound profile for the LYRIQ-V. Electric Vehicle Sound Enhancement operates through the AKG sound system inside the car, while exterior sound is delivered through dedicated underbody speakers at the front and rear.
The sound changes with the drive modes and includes audio themes for acceleration and regenerative braking, plus an e-rev function when the car is parked or in neutral. A Stealth Mode is available for a quieter cabin.

Design and interior
Exterior changes for the LYRIQ-V include unique front and rear lower fascia designs, body-colour lower trim and wheel mouldings, unique side rockers, V-Series badging, a black painted roof and 22-inch Triple 6-Spoke Reverse Rim alloy wheels finished in Satin Graphite with laser-etched V-Series emblems.

Inside, the model gets Noir Nappa leather seating with Sky Cool Grey accents, perforated inserts and V-Series embroidery. Other interior features include a heated leather-wrapped V steering wheel with an integrated V button, illuminated V-Series door sills, alloy sport pedals, 126-colour ambient lighting and a panoramic opening sunroof.

Technology, range and charging
Technology features include Cadillac’s 33-inch diagonal advanced LED display with Google Gemini, Google Maps and Google Play built in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 23-speaker AKG Studio audio system with available Dolby Atmos capability, active noise cancellation and Connected Services compatibility through the myCadillac mobile app.
The LYRIQ-V uses a 92kWh battery and has an estimated combined-cycle WLTP range of 471km. DC fast charging is rated at up to 130kW, which Cadillac says can add up to 107km of range in 10 minutes. A 22kW three-phase AC charger can add up to 98km of range per hour, depending on charging conditions and vehicle settings.

Pricing and warranty
Pricing starts from $99,000 in Australia and $109,000 in New Zealand. Both prices are listed as MSRP, include GST, and exclude on-road costs. Cadillac notes that pricing is indicative and subject to final confirmation at launch.
The LYRIQ-V will be covered by a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and five years of Premium Roadside Assist. The battery warranty is eight years or 160,000km, whichever comes first. From MY27 onwards, Cadillac says all its vehicles, including the LYRIQ-V, will have service intervals of 24 months or 24,000km.
