Like any new hot performance car, it wouldn’t be truly tested in the eyes of the manufactures these days until its done and YouTube video test around the Nurburgring. And the 2015 Civic Type R’s 7:50.63 seconds lap time does not disappoint as taking the front-wheel drive hot hatch class record away from Renault’s Megane RS 275 Trophy-R, beating it by 4 seconds. To put this in perspective, The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 lap record is 7:52. Honda has released info on when this lap time was achieved, which was during the development test in May 2014 by a contracted pro test driver.
