Idris Elba breaks ‘Flying Mile’ at legendary land speed location Pendine Sands

Idris Elba has done it again, he has become more awesome. A record has stood from 1927 for the fastest flying mile at the Pendine Sands in Wales at 174.8 mph set by Sir Malcolm Cambell driving a Napier-Campbell Blue Bird race car (below).

A record help for 88 years until Idris came along in a new Bently Continental GT Speed and borke that record setting a new record of 180.361 while recording for his new show ” No Limits” which is due to air in July. The record is set by having an average speed between two points and the cars are up to speed before entering the set mile zone. Idris topped hit a top speed of 186 mph on the tightly packed wet sand stretch.
