The Audi Q4 e-tron is the first all-electric SUV for Audi in the compact-car segment. They say it combines pioneering design, cutting-edge display technology and an impressive amount of space for a smaller car in the Q range. These design and innovation principles are coupled with strong charging and driving performance and fully electric quattro all-wheel drive.

Audi NZ says the all new Q4 e-tron is set to achieve a range of up to 498 kilometres* on a full charge, running off an 82kWh battery with a maximum output of 220 kW and electric all-wheel drive. The Q4 e-tron is also set to have impressive performance credentials, with an acceleration of 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds.

“The Q4 e-tron makes it easy to embrace e-mobility with Zero CO₂ emissions, great range and progressive styling,” commented Dean Sheed, General Manager of Audi New Zealand. “This model which has sold out in Europe is perfect for both the everyday commute and long-distance driving. We’re excited to be able to showcase New Zealand’s first model at our pop-up store at Westfield Newmarket and encourage people to come and see what this highly anticipated model is all about.”

The Q4 e-tron is Audi’s first electric product line in the compact segment and is an important part of the brand’s electric strategy. According to Audi, the design elements incorporate a high front, a powerful body, an expressive rear; flat A-pillars, precise lines, short front overhang, and large wheels. Feature highlights include numerous colour choices, Matrix LED headlights, and a world’s-first daylight running lights with four individually selectable signatures and a taillight signature with a continuous lighting strip.

The Q4 e-tron is partly wrapped in a geometric print, this represents that it is a pre-production international model on display. New Zealand pricing and specifications will be released later this year.

All visitors to the pop-up Audi store will also have the chance to go in the draw to win tickets to the Audi Ice Experience, held at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds, near Wanaka, in August. Guests will have the opportunity at the ice experience to drive Audi’s most progressive fully electric vehicle, the Audi RS e-tron GT.

The all-new Audi Q4 can be found at:

Westfield Newmarket, Shop S150 Level 1 on dates 14 – 28 June

* WLTP (real world driving test) sets the Audi Q4 50 e-tron range at up to 498km. This is variable based on driving
conditions, style, situation and terrain. The average New Zealander drives approx. 40km per day, meaning not only is the e-tron practical for everyday use, but the long-range capability on offer also makes long-distance trips possible on a single charge.

How on earth to start this? I've been car/bike/truck crazy since I was a teen. Like John, I had the obligatory Countach poster on the wall. I guess I'm more officially into classic and muscle cars than anything else - I currently have a '65 Sunbeam Tiger that left the factory the same day as I left the hospital as a newborn with my mother. How could I not buy that car? In 2016 my wife and I drove across the USA in a brand-new Dodge Challenger, and then shipped it home. You can read more on www.usa2nz.co.nz. We did this again in 2019 in a 1990 Chev Corvette - you can read about that trip on DriveLife. I'm a driving instructor and an Observer for the Institute of Advanced Motorists - trying to do my bit to make our roads safer.
